Quintus Sertorius is a roman general that found himself on the wrong side of one of the civil wars but he was brilliant, badass, and should not just be pushed aside into the footnotes of history.
a quick note about the white deer, not only was the deer incredibly tame, but he pretended that the deer was a messenger from Artemis. When he got new intel (from his extensive spy ring) he would hide the actual messenger, and pretend that the deer told him. This boosted the morale of his troops because a goddess was their side.
